Colony Caretaker

If there are "unowned" cats in your neighborhood living strictly outdoors,
we can help stop the population from increasing, reduce nuisance behavior, and help ensure their health and safety. We do this through our proven Trap-Neuter-Return program. Simply put, live-trapped cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for distemper and rabies by licensed veterinarians, and released back to their natural habitat.
Our volunteers can assist you with live trapping and/or loan traps with instructions to you.
If you are currently taking care of a feral cat colony
and would like to join our TNR program, please
print out and complete our
Colony Registration Form
and mail it back to us.
Or, if you have been notified by Vicki that you have a scheduled spay/neuter appointment, we will loan you a trap. It's the safest way to transport the cats and to administer the necessary medications. A refundable deposit of $50 is required per trap. Your deposit (check) will not be cashed and will be returned when you return the trap. We will only cash your check if the traps are not brought back as promised. • Our volunteers plan the trapping around scheduled spay/neuter dates, at which time a licensed veterinarian will perform the surgery and vaccinate (distemper and rabies).
• Cats are returned to their previous surroundings and we provide the Caretaker with information in caring for the cats, including advice on feeding, providing shelter for inclement weather and suggestions for making these cats good neighbors.
• Cats Anonymous does NOT perform spay/neuter for stray cats obtained by individuals for private adoption, gifts or to be kept as their pets.
Our mission is made possible through the generosity of people like you and members of our community. While there is no required fee for our services, donations are essential to continue helping feral cats.
** There is a waiting list for a spay/neuter appointments. You will be contacted by a Cats Anonymous representative when the next appointment becomes available.
