ANIMALS V. ANIMALS: A FALSE CHOICE
"Harmony with land is like harmony with a friend;
you cannot cherish his right hand and chop off his
left.  That is to say, you cannot love game and
hate predators; you cannot conserve the waters
and waste the ranges; you cannot build the forest
and mine the farm.  The land is one organism.  Its
parts, like our own parts, compete with each other
and co-operate with each other. The competitions
are as much a part of the inner workings as the
co-operations." - Aldo Leopold

In Memory or In Honor Of...
Have you ever had someone request that you
make a donation to your favorite charity in lieu
of flowers, or in place of a gift for a birthday,
or anniversary?
Cats Anonymous now has a special card for
these occasions. Let us know who or what your
donation is honoring, and we'll personalize
the card for you.

Volunteers Need to be 18 or Older
Unless we have a very active adult volunteer
with our organization who wants to have their
child work with them (away from spay day),  they
both need to sign a waiver. Otherwise we
require that our  volunteers are 18 or older.

Colony Registration Form
                             "SPAY DAY"
Once a month our participating veterinarians and volunteers meet and perform spays and neuters on
the feral or farm cats that have been registered as a colony and arranged to be brought in to one of our
participating Veterinarian Hospitals.  Feral cats are trapped the night before, and cats than can be
handled are also placed in traps before  they are brought in.  It's the safest way to transport the cats
and to administer the necessary medications.  After the surgery is completed, the cats are taken to a
recovery room where they stay until a veterinarian says it's safe for them to be returned.   The cats stay
in the traps overnight and are released back to the wild the next day.  The number of cats that can be
spayed or neutered on one day varies by how many are scheduled and how many are able to be
trapped. It can range from 40 to 70.
